Patrons

Eligibility is a requirement to participate in the food pantry distributions.   Current patrons under the age of 60 are required to interview every 5 months to meet eligibility.  Patrons over the age of 60 are required to interview every 12 months.

When you are scheduled for an interview, here is what you need to bring with you.  For those who have PA Food Stamps or a SNAP Card, please bring your card and the acceptance letter sent by the PA Assistance Office in Punxsutawney.  If you do not have the letter, please bring a current receipt from a recent purchase which shows that the card is active.  Alternatively, you may obtain another copy of the acceptance letter by contacting a case worker at 1-800-242-8214.  If you do not provide the above items, you must bring documentation of your monthly income and your monthly housing costs (electric, heating, etc.)

Additionally, our over age 60 patrons may qualify for a government box of food once a month.  This is a separate eligibility process and requires showing proof of income every 6 months.

If you do not bring the proper documentation, we cannot interview you and you will not qualify for help.
